Halsted Flowers, LLC

Hello everybody. This is Geneva Currin writing to you and I’m the owner of Halsted Flowers.   We have been in the heart of Lincoln Park for over 12 years now, happily serving our neighborhood and surrounding areas here in the fine city of Chicago.  I’ve owned and operated 3 flower shops, (sold 2 of them) starting each from scratch and Halsted Flowers is the 3rd shop I have had the pleasure to own and operate.  Flowers to me are nature’s art and a passion, so much so that I made it my choice of career several years ago.  A bachelor’s in Marketing and Retail, from the University of Missouri in Columbia, excellent floral design experience at a Dutch floral design school, the Boerma in Aalsmeer,  and local floral design schools has helped me to develop our style over the years.  Observing the wonders of nature has been a major source of inspiration as well.

We love serving our neighborhood and specialize in unique and interesting flowers and plants, and also carry the classics.  We work with 2 organic growers during the growing season and sell some fair trade/fair pay flowers and gifts. We are excellent at wedding, party and corporate work and love to design for any occasion including birthdays, anniversaries, thank yous, romantic gestures, thinking of you reasons etc.  You name it, we will design it.

Owning three different florists has definitely not been easy at times but we all love what we do here at Halsted Flowers. Working with beautiful flowers, plants, each other and great customers makes it all worth it.

Our belief is that living in a large city, we all need to connect with nature.  Flowers and plants are one way to do that and we thank you for purchasing with us and connecting with nature through us when you can.  You are helping to keep a small business growing with every purchase from the largest event to a single flower purchase.
