In the late 1980’s, Charles Loveless supported his first 5 years at university as a residential and commercial painter and carpenter. This early introduction into the industry proved fortuitous when, after earning his master’s degree and working as a case worker and counselor for a decade, his wife, Carol Loveless, presented him with the opportunity to start a painting company. After working years as a non-profit program manager, Carol realized there were more opportunities for utilizing her organizational planning and building skills. When a door opened to owning a painting company, she was ready for the challenge. Therefore, the dynamic duo, Carol and Charles, first started a painting and carpentry company in 2000.

Even from the onset of their business many customers were requesting remodeling services since they encountered great difficulty finding a contractor they could trust. The time came after the 2008 U.S. economy collapse, the duo realized rather limiting their painting and carpentry services they needed to diversify. After two years of proving themselves adept in the remodeling industry, in 2010, Carol expanded the business while taking on full ownership of it. As a woman-owned company, CLL Specialists, Corp., dba, Renovate Paint and Design, was born out of a need from its customers to have a trustworthy contracting company that could meet all their property improvement painting and remodeling needs.

Continuing to rise to challenges while growing the company’s capabilities, Renovate Paint and Design (aka, RPD), has grown their renowned customer care and professional services into the larger landscape of contracting with commercial and government procured projects. Their quality standards, attention to detail, and close project monitoring applies to all project scopes: whether they are the prime or sub-to-a-prime, working on exterior improvements and painting of a multi-unit condominium complex, or repairing and painting the interior of a government testing facility.

RPD operates almost exclusively in the private, residential sector, however, throughout its 23 years in operation, it has continued to expand facility projects into the commercial, non-profit/religious, and government contracting arenas. The hub of our property improvement activities is in its backyard within San Antonio, stretching throughout the Bexar and surrounding counties.

While the nature of the construction industry requires that our team be dynamic, fluid, and flexible, there is more to our success. The contract size isn’t the factor which deems our customer’s exceptional service: it’s built into our philosophy and guiding principles, which have remained the same since we started.
