South Appliance was originally San Diego County Appliance. As you would gather from the name San Diego County Appliance, the name was meant to incorporate all the cities in San Diego. In 2005, Mr. Martinez changed the name to South Appliance Repair, a name with a vision to include all of Southern California. Along with over 19 years of appliance repair experience, founder and lead technician, Jesus Martinez has thousands of repairs under his belt. During his long carrier as a technician, Mr. Martinez has come to a plain understanding of customer expectations and the type of professionalism required in the service industry. For this reason, as Mr. Martinez would say, “I’ll never send a wanna-be technician to my customer's home.” Mr. Martinez has also always emphasized the need for a personal relationship between the customer and the service provider. Although a hard concept for a younger and professionally minded workforce, Mr. Martinez has never let this be the wayside. Even today, you can find Mr. Martinez performing service calls shoulder to shoulder with his technicians, meeting new customers, and catching up with old ones.
